Seven arrested following brawl on Ocean City's Boardwalk; police use TASERs during scuffle

Seven teens were arrested over the weekend after a large fight on Ocean City's Boardwalk.

Officers say they responded to Worcester Street and the Boardwalk at around 11:40 p.m. Saturday where they found two groups of teens yelling obscenities at each other and enticing each other to fight.

Police say a crowd of approximately 100 people had gathered around the groups when they attempted to place several of the teens involved under arrest.

More police responded and TASERs were used until the crowd was dispersed.

Officers made the following arrests:

-- Resisting arrest
-- Second degree assault

-- Allen D. J. Nelson, 19, of Salisbury, MD
-- Resisting arrest
-- Obstructing and hindering

-- Luis A. Pirela Linares, 20, of Salisbury, MD
-- Obstructing and hindering
-- Resisting arrest

-- Aaron G. Waples, 19, of Berlin, MD
-- Disorderly conduct
-- Resisting arrest
-- Second degree escape

-- Jakhai N. Woodard, 18, of Berlin, MD
-- Second degree assault (2 counts)
-- Resisting arrest
-- Disorderly conduct

-- A 16-year-old male of Delmar, DE
-- Second degree assault
-- Disturbing peace/hindering passage

-- A 15-year-old male of Snow Hill, MD
-- Disorderly conduct

Police say the two juveniles were released to their parents while the others were seen by a Maryland District Court Commissioner.
