Rockville after-school program counselor arrested for sexual offenses

An after-school program counselor has been arrested for inappropriately touching a 5-year-old girl, according to Montgomery County Police.

The suspect, Raul Alejandro Ramos, 21, was a counselor at 'Kids After Hours,' a privately-run after-school program in Rockville. The program was held at Flower Valley Elementary School located at 4615 Sunflower Drive.

On October 31, detectives from the Montgomery County Police Special Victims Investigations Division were notified by Child Protective Services. They reported that a 5-year-old girl had been inappropriately touched by an after-school counselor.

Ramos had inappropriately touched the young girl over the course of three months, August 29 to October 31. The incidents of abuse occurred during a game of tag, inside the school and on the playground.

Ramos was arrested and charged with sexual abuse of a minor, and three counts of third-degree sexual offense.
