Report: Disgruntled employee fires shots at Hyattsville supermarket

HYATTSVILLE, Md. - Police are on the scene in Hyattsville, Maryland after sources tell FOX 5 a disgruntled employee fired shots at a supermarket.

The investigation is centering on a Shoppers Food Warehouse market in the Chillum Road Shopping Center in the 2400 block of Chillum Road.

Sources tell FOX 5 that a disgruntled employee arrived at the location around 5 a.m. Monday and fired several gunshots that struck the building. Several of the shots damaged the building's windows.

No injuries have been reported. The incident occurred outside of the building.

Prince George's County Police have released no suspect information at this time.
