Recording device found in locker room at Towson U

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Towson University police are investigating after a phone was recovered from the women's locker room that appeared to have been recording members of the swimming and diving team.

According to a statement issued by the school's president, administrators were contacted by team members who discovered the phone in the locker room on Friday morning. The device "may have captured video images and audio recordings" of the athletes in the changing room, the statement said.

After learning of the phone, administrators immediately contacted the Towson University Police Department, which has initiated an investigation. The school is offering members of the team counseling and providing other resources.
