Rare mahogany boat sinking after filling with rain water

A rare mahogany boat is sinking in Sacramento after filling up with rain water.

The owner, Alan Helmer says the boat was a wooden mahogany 34 foot 1953 Hunter.

Helmer says he is restoring the classic boat, which he says is one of 13 ever made, and the last of two left in the world.

Helmer says the bottom has had a small leak which a Bilge Pump was taking care of.

But with the heavy rain we've had today, that pump got over loaded, and Helmer says with too much water inside it started to sink.

He says he has a diving team coming out when the weather improves to use a lifting bag, which fills up with air underwater to rescue it.
