Rams Head Tavern owner pleads guilty to secretly videotaping women

The owner of a Howard County restaurant who was accused of secretly videotaping women while they were in the restroom has pleaded guilty to two counts of visual surveillance with prurient interest. Kyle Muehlhauser, 37, appeared in court Thursday.

The owner of the Rams Head Tavern in Savage was arrested in February of this year on six counts of the same charge.

Police say the investigation dates back to May 2014 when a woman told police that a digital video camera fell onto the floor while she was in the restaurant's bathroom. After reviewing the camera's memory card, police say they found an image of a man placing the camera in the bathroom and images of six women captured on video.

Surveillance video from the restaurant also showed a man who investigators say matched Muehlhauser's description. In December, police say lab results indicating DNA on the camera matched that of the suspect.

Muehlhauser will serve a 90-day sentence starting Thursday.
