Former Prince George's County school aide Deonte Carraway indicted on 270 child abuse, porn charges

A former Prince George's County school volunteer, Deonte Carraway, accused of using his position to produce child pornography and sexually abusing minors was indicted on 270 child abuse and porn charges.

Carraway, 22, is facing state charges of child abuse of a minor, sex offense and child pornography after county prosecutors say he sexually abused students at Judge Sylvania Woods Elementary School, on and off school property.

The Prince George's County State's Attorney's Office is expected to offer more details of the indictment at a news conference Wednesday afternoon.

The states attorney's office for Prince George's County said some of those videos were taken inside the children's homes.

The charges from a grand jury in Prince George's County Circuit Court are in addition to the counts federal authorities filed against Carraway earlier this year.
