BOWIE, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Investigators have made two arrests in connection with nearly 20 airbag thefts in Prince George’s County – and one of the suspects is linked to nearly 80 tire and rim thefts in Fairfax County.
According to police, 28-year-old Michael Roane of Suitland and 24-year-old Roy Guzman of Temple Hills broke into 19 Hondas in Bowie and in other neighborhoods in Prince George’s County, stealing their airbags.
Roane is in custody, and a warrant has been issued for Guzman’s arrest, according to police.
In addition to the airbag thefts, investigators say Roane is also responsible for stealing nearly 80 tire and rim sets from vehicles in Fairfax County.
Both men are charged in Prince George’s County with the thefts.
Investigators say they also found a stolen gun while they searched Guzman’s home.
