Prince George's Co. man arrested for child pornography

A man from Prince George's County was arrested and charged Tuesday for distributing and possessing child pornography.

The investigation into Michael J. Dorden, 52, of Oxon Hill, Md. began in late August 2016. A tip was received by the Maryland State Police Internet Crimes against Children Task Force from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip included information about an individual who was distributing child pornography over the Internet. Officials obtained an address and a search warrant for the suspect who was eventually identified at Dorden.

Tuesday morning officials searched Dorden's home and found child pornography. A preliminary forensic examination of his laptop showed there were more than 200 images of child pornography stored there. Dorden was arrested and transported for processing at the Forestville Barrack, according to Maryland State Police.

Dorden was charged with distribution of child pornography and four counts of possession of child pornography.
