Police: Woman set on fire during argument with boyfriend dies

Police say a Fairfax County woman whose boyfriend set her on fire during an argument on November 19 in Alexandria has died. Officers have captured her boyfriend, who fled after the incident.

Investigators say 64-year-old Delores Williams died overnight in the hospital. Her boyfriend, Lewis Edward Reeder, was captured Thursday night, he was wanted on aggravated malicious wounding charges. Additional charges are possible as the investigation is ongoing.

According to police, emergency crews were called to a home in the 4900 block of Keeler Court at around 1:40 am on November 19 after reports of a house fire and a disorderly man. Firefighters put out the blaze and found Williams, who was badly burned. Police believe the couple got into an argument and Reeder allegedly set Williams on fire. Investigators have not revealed details as to how that happened.
