Police seek man in video voyeurism case in SW

Police say a man took pictures and video up a woman's dress inside a 7 Eleven store near Nationals Park Saturday.

Neither the victim nor the witness wanted to be identified. The victim told FOX 5 she didn't know what happened until a witness told her what the male suspect did. The witness says she saw the woman standing in line at the convenience store while a man stood closely behind her.

According to the witness, that's when the suspect pulled out his phone and took a photo up the woman's dress. It happened around 11:15 a.m., according to police.

"He just like put the camera real low and put it up a little bit and flashed and everything under her skirt," the witness told FOX 5.

The man then left the store, heading south on South Capitol Street, according to police.

After a brief confrontation, the victim demanded the man delete the image. She worries there are more pictures or video on his phone. She says he left in a silver four-door sedan with a Maryland license plate.

The witness wants other women to be aware that the man may try targeting other women.

"I just want a lot of women to know that it's a guy out here in your area that will actually upskirt you," the witness said.

Police released only a vague description of the suspect and are working to obtain surveillance video, according to the victim.
