Police hope tattoos help identify woman found dead in Waldorf

Deputies in Charles County need help identifying a woman whose body was found Thursday night in Waldorf.

Overnight, detectives tweeted out pictures of the victim's tattoos. They're asking anyone who recognizes these tattoos to contact them.

The woman's body was found on Old Washington Road near Smallwood Drive just before 9 p.m. last night. She is described by police as a black female in her 30s or 40s. The tattoos are described as a cherub angel tattoo on her left shoulder and a character tattoo on her left inner wrist. She was wearing a black top and gray leggings.

Police say she was found with trauma to the body and pronounced dead at the scene. The case is being investigated as homicide. Anyone with information is asked to call 301-932-2222.
