WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Park Police says they have interviewed a person of interest in a hit-and-run crash that killed a Washington, D.C. man and injured his fiancee.

Sgt. Lelani Woods also said Thursday that investigators have found what they believe is the car involved in the Feb. 1 crash. She says the person of interest has been interviewed and investigators were working with the U.S. Attorney's Office on the case.

Woods declined to identify the person of interest, including whether it was a man or a woman.

A car hit 38-year-old Rick Warrick and his fiancee as they changed a tire on the Baltimore Washington Parkway between Washington and Baltimore. His fiancee, 28-year-old Julia Pearce, survived.

Warrick's two children were in the back seat at the time but weren't injured.
