Police: Barracade situation ends peacefully inside Clifton home

A barricade situation involving a man at a home in Clifton ended peacefully on Monday.

It all started shortly after 9 a.m. when Fairfax County police responded to the 11900 block of Henderson Court for a person experiencing some sort of emotional distress and in possession of a weapon, according to officials.

Just after 3 p.m., Fairfax County police tweeted that the man was taken into custody. There were no injuries reported and the man will be evaluated.

During the barricade, police had advised people to avoid the area, and some residents of Henderson Court were asked to shelter in place as negotiations were taking place.
