Pay It Forward: Single mom uses extreme couponing to help feed the homeless

Lauren Puryear set a goal for herself. The 29-year-old wanted to feed 30,000 meals to the homeless and hungry by the time she turned 30. The single mother, who has always put others first, used her extreme couponing skills to do that and more!

When she started her organization, For the Love of Others, she discovered a large homeless population in Virginia that was in need of meals. But the large number of hungry mouths outnumbered her bank account.

She was introduced to extreme couponing and honed her skills so she could stretch her funds. Amazingly Puryear was able to use just $2,000 to feed more than double that amount. She is just weeks away from her 30th birthday and Puryear has fed more than 60,000 people!

A true humanitarian -- Puryear works hard for others every day. Her goal is to one day feed those in need across the country!

FOX 5 and Easterns Automotive teamed up to help Puryear's mission with a hefty donation of groceries and a check for $1,500!
