Resident located after fire destroys house in Hyattstown

HYATTSTOWN,Md. - The resident of a house destroyed by fire overnight in Montgomery County has been located. The fire happened around 2:30 a.m. on Haines Road in Hyattstown.

The fire was quickly put out but the house was completely destroyed. Authorities say the resident of the house was located nearby and is being evaluated by emergency crews.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
