Police: Man arrested after stabbing outside Metro station

VIENNA, Va. (AP) -- Authorities say they've caught a suspect in a stabbing outside the entrance a northern Virginia Metro station.

Metro Transit police said in a statement that officers were called to the Dunn Loring station in Vienna on Monday morning for a fight in progress and found a man injured. He was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening. Police say the suspect fled before police arrived, but they were able to send his photo to officers and determine that he had boarded a particular car of an eastbound orange line train.

Police say the train was stopped in Rosslyn and the man was taken into custody. They say he had a knife. Police have not been able to confirm the man's identity.
