Hundreds in St. Paul, Minnesota protest election of Donald Trump

A large group of people protesting the election of Donald Trump as the next President of the United States marched through downtown St. Paul, Minnesota on Wednesday night.

The protest started at the State Capitol, then meandered through the surrounding streets, according to St. Paul police. There were about 300 people participating in the protest at one point.

The crowd chanted, "Hey, hey, ho, ho! Donald Trump has got to go!" and "Love Trumps hate!" The protest was peaceful and there were no arrests reported.

Metro Transit shut down the Green Line light rail service during the protest.

Similar protests took place in Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Portland, Seattle, Washington, D.C. and several other cities on Wednesday night.
