Name that dog: Carroll County's newest K9 needs a name!

The newest member of the Carroll County Sheriff's Office needs something: a name!

Their new addition is a 4-month-old female bloodhound puppy, and cute isn't the word for her. But what will they call her?

The puppy will train with a K9 handler for 10 weeks, and she'll be tasked with searching for missing persons, criminals who might have fled police, prison escapees, and she'll also help investigators develop potential leads in criminal cases. That's worth at least a puppy treat or two.

The one thing she's missing? A name. The sheriff's office wants help from the community in picking the perfect name for this little girl. Email your suggestions to (NOTE: ONLY EMAIL SUGGESTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED. SUGGESTIONS ON SOCIAL MEDIA WILL NOT). You should also explain why your name should be chosen!

The deadline for suggestions is March 29, 2015, and the new name will be announced on their Facebook page no later than April 2.
