The latest incident happened Sunday night near 14th and T Streets, NW. Police say four people were stabbed. One of the female victims, 64-year-old Santos Ventura, later died. Police arrested 70-year-old Manuel Antonio Ramos and charged him with first degree murder.
Another quadruple stabbing happened shortly before 2 a.m. on Sunday. The stabbing happened in Chinatown on the 800 block of 7th Street. One woman and three men suffered from stab wounds. All were found conscious and breathing by responders. Officers say a man was arrested shortly after this incident.
Police say a shooting on Sunday afternoon near 21st Street and Benning Road in the northeast sent a man to the hospital. An adult male was shot and taken to the hospital. A drive shooting on R Street also occurred on Sunday. On Saturday, three separate shootings occurred.
Police are also asking for the public's help in finding a man who sexually assaulted and beat a woman in southeast Washington.
Investigators say an adult woman was assaulted Friday just before midnight in an apartment in the 3300 block of 13th Street. Police say they are looking for a black male with brown eyes and a skinny build who was wearing dark blue jeans and had his hair in dreadlocks. Police say he was approximately 25-years-old.
Also in the southeast, another sex assault is being investigated in the 4300 block of H Street. In this case, a man illegally entered the window of a residence and sexually assaulted a female occupant. The suspect is described as a black male, average build, in his 20s wearing sunglasses, a white shirt and dark jeans.
