Mom, daughter accidentally get each other puppies for Valentine's Day

A Missouri family was mourning the loss of one of their dogs, and a mother and daughter ended up proving that great minds think alike.

Natalie Rice, who lives near Jefferson City, said their dog passed away and wanted to surprise her mom for Valentine's Day with a blue heeler puppy.

Rice decided to record the special moment. Her mom is seen entering the room and Rice starts to say, "Happy Valentine's Day" but stops short when she sees her mom holding an adorable lab puppy.

Her mom says, "You better not have. Oh my God, we're in so much trouble."

Rice shared the video on her Twitter account, writing, "long story short my dad is going to kill us," but later she wrote her dad is allowing the extra room for two at their home.

"He didn't have much of a choice, honestly."
