Mom accused of leaving child alone in car at Horseshoe Casino

Police in Maryland say a 3-year-old child was found alone in a car outside the Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore on Saturday afternoon, while the child's mother was apparently inside the casino gambling.

Officers found Jade Germany, 25, playing roulette after someone in the casino's parking garage flagged them down and pointed at the car with the child inside. Police say the child had been left alone in the car with only a juice box and a tablet.

The child was found sleeping, and the windows on the car had been cracked about three inches.

According to a police report, Germany told officers she was gambling because she needed money.
