Metro's Red Line delayed after problems with insulator

Officials say a faulty insulator caused delays along Metro's Red Line Wednesday morning.

Fire and emergency crews responded to the Bethesda Metro Station along the 7400 block of Wisconsin Avenue around 5:30 a.m.

It does not appear the problem caused smoke or fire.

For nearly two hours the Red Line was single tracking between Medical Center and Friendship Heights.
