Little girl who received princess treatment for DC wish day, has passed away

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. - A 6-year-old Maryland girl battling brain cancer has passed away.

Last year, Eden Oyelola, of Upper Marlboro, wished to meet and ride a unicorn - with the help of FOX 5 DC and Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic her wish came true. Sadly, Eden passed away on October 20, 2016.

On her special day last year, Eden embarked on a princess scavenger hunt throughout D.C.-- it even included the White House! The hunt ended outside the Verizon Center, where Eden received her wish of riding a unicorn. Her family, friends, and a large crowd had gathered outside to cheer on the heartwarming moment.
