Maryland teacher to drive supplies to Hurricane Harvey victims

A Maryland teacher will be driving a truck full of supplies to Texas and hand-deliver the items to those displaced by Harvey.

Dave Boteler, a teacher at Reservoir High School in Fulton, saw people suffering from the effects of Hurricane Harvey and knew he needed to help. So, this Friday, he will be driving a truck full of supplies to Texas.

U-Haul is letting Boteler rent a 26-foot-long truck for $1.

If people want to give monetary donations, they can go to www.fbcmd.org and click on the Hurricane Harvey aid tab

Boteler is also looking for people to donate supplies. He is in need of bottled water, formula, diapers, baby wipes, non-perishable food, toiletries, blankets, clothes, especially undergarments, batteries, cleaning products and pet food.

Donations can be dropped off at Reservoir High School's front office at 11550 Scaggsville Road on Wednesday, September 6 and Thursday, September 7 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
