Maryland man sexually abused minors, police say

A Maryland man is accused of sexually abusing two minors over the course of several years.

Takoma Park police charged 46-year-old Jerry Parnecio of Bethesda with multiple counts of sex abuse of a minor.

Police say the incidents happened in Takoma Park between 2002 and 2008.

The suspect made contact with one victim in his role as a live-in nanny and the other victim was a neighbor, authorities said.

Parnecio has lived in Bethesda since 2008.

Police say he has been working for multiple families in the D.C. area doing odd jobs.
