CHEVERLY, Md. - A man was struck by a CSX train in Prince George's County on Friday afternoon, according to officials.
The victim was struck at around 2:50 p.m. as he was walking on the tracks between John Hanson Highway and Eastern Avenue in Bladensburg adjacent to the Cheverly Metro station, accordin to CSX. He was remove from under the train and transported to a local trauma center with severe trauma to his lower extremities.

The fright train was traveling from New Jersey to Florida and was carrying paper, ceramic products and other consumer goods.
