WASHINGTON - A man was struck and killed by a vehicle early Monday morning in Northeast D.C.
The incident happened just before 1 a.m. in the 1300 block of New York Avenue.
The victim may have been in his 30s, officers say. Police do not believe a striking vehicle remained on the scene after the incident but are not calling this a hit and run at this time.
The roadway was closed for several hours following this incident but has since reopened. The investigation is still continuing.
