Man in wheelchair robs bank

New York City police are on the hunt for a wheelchair bound thief who held up a bank.

Surveillance video shows the suspect rolling down the street after allegedly robbing the Santander Bank in Astoria, Queens Monday.

He reportedly passed a note to the teller but did not display a weapon.

Police say the suspect made off with over $1000 in cash.

The footage of the suspect was captured by a security camera outside a nearby store.

Police are not sure if the robber actually needed the wheelchair or used it as a disguise.
