Man denied service at restaurant because of his tattoos

A man says a Houston restaurant kicked him out because of his ink.

Erik Leighton and a friend were escorted out of Bombshells Restaurant because of Leighton's facial tattoos. The restaurant has a "no facial tattoo" policy.

Leighton vented his frustration on social media. Soon, people came to his defense, and the restaurant sent an apology through Facebook. It explained that Bombshells is located in an area with a high gang concentration.

"One common factor with gangs are face and neck tattoos. We can't allow gangs to overtake our establishment," the posting said.

After his experience, Leighton says he hopes Bombshells will rethink its policy.
