Man arrested on manslaughter charge in shooting death of friend

WASHINGTON - Detectives in Prince George's County are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Thursday night in Hyattsville.

Officials responded to a local hospital around 11 p.m. Thursday to investigate a shooting victim, according to police. Police say the victim, 21-year-old Eulises Alvarado-Reyes, of Hamilton Street, died shortly after getting to the hospital.

Alvarado-Reyes was shot in the 5000 block of 56th Place and taken to the hospital by witnesses, according to officials. Detectives from Prince George's County homicide are investigating 18-year-old Henry Reyes, a friend of the victim. Henry Reyes was charged with manslaughter and a weapons charge.
