Worker rescued after being partially trapped in trench in Bethesda

BETHESDA, Md. - A worker has been rescued Monday afternoon after being partially trapped in a trench in front of a home under construction in Bethesda.

Montgomery County fire officials say a technical rescue team responded to the scene in the 5800 block of Wilmett Road and extricated the victim after he was buried in dirt up to his knees.

The worker was evaluated by EMS personnel, but he refused transport to the hospital. He is expected to be okay.
