Woodbridge man charged with murder of 2 counselors

Prince William County police have arrested a 19-year-old man for the murder of a missing Woodbridge woman whose body was discovered in the woods Friday afternoon along with an Alexandria woman found in dead in a ditch back in April.

Ronald Dorsey Jr. is accused of killing 37-year-old Erica Hickson and 36-year-old Lizeth Lopez. Both women were counselors with Youth Quest Independent Living, a private program tasked with supervising young adults at an apartment complex in Woodbridge. Dorsey is a resident of the program and was known to both women.

Police said Hickson was reported missing after she was last seen Thursday night during her shift at work. After an extensive search by police, her body was found Friday at around 1 p.m. in a wooded area near Gold Side Circle. The suspect lived in an apartment nearby.

Detectives were able to link Dorsey to Lopez's murder after she went missing for over a week in April. Lopez was reported missing on April 19 and her body was later found 10 days later near a drainage ditch at Cotton Mill Drive and Griffith Avenue, which is only a few blocks away from where Hickson was found.

Dorsey has been charged with two counts of murder and is being held without bond.
