Warrant sweep leads to 124 arrests in Prince George's Co.

- A warrant sweep targeting suspects in domestic violence crimes resulted in more than 100 arrests, according to the Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff.

Multiple state and local law enforcement agencies took part in the annual enforcement last week.

Teams attempted to serve warrants at about 400 addresses, according to a news release. They arrested 124 people and closed 146 outstanding warrants.

The suspects face charges such as assault, violation of protective orders, stalking and domestic-related felony theft.

The warrant sweep takes place every year in October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
