Warm and humid Wednesday; showers and storms possible later this afternoon and evening

Another unsettled day around the D.C. region Wednesday with a humid morning and the possibility of scattered storms during the afternoon and evening.

FOX 5's Mike Thomas says we can expect a warm and muggy start to the day with temperatures around 70 degrees. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s later in the day as the humidity continues.

The threat for thunderstorms later this afternoon and evening remains however activity won't be as widespread as it had been earlier this week. Some parts of the area may even get through the later hours with mostly dry skies.

Nearly 15 hours of daylight are in store Wednesday. Another unsettled day is expected Thursday with more chances for evening storms. Friday looks sunny and dry and the weekend looks nice with temperatures in the 80s.
