VIDEO: Suspects steal ATM machine from Fairfax County store

Fairfax County police are investigating a series of ATM thefts that have occurred in July.

Detectives released surveillance video of one incident from inside a convenience store last Wednesday at around 2:05 a.m. On the video, two masked suspects are seen breaking into the store and head over to the ATM machine where they kick the ATM out of its place. After freeing the machine, they then slide it out of a store into a vehicle.

Police said there have been six reported ATM theft cases that have occurred between June 18 and July 20. Investigators said the suspects have been using stolen vehicles during the theft of the ATM machines from different businesses during the early morning hours. In addition, the suspects later abandon these vehicles and flee the area after the crimes.

In all of these incidents, police said the suspects are described as black, weighing about 175 to 200 pounds and standing about 5'10" tall. They wore dark-colored clothing with their faces covered.
