Victim identified in fatal shooting on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Southeast DC

Police have identified the victim in Wednesday's shooting on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Southeast.

Demetrius Christopher Medlay, 22, of Southeast, was fatally shot in the 3100 Block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue at approximately 2:50 p.m.

Police are on the lookout for a black male suspect wearing a white shirt and was seen driving a green vehicle with Virginia tags.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
