Vehicle struck by train in North Bethesda

Montgomery County fire officials said a commuter train hit a vehicle on the tracks after a crash occurred involving nine vehicles.

The collision happened on Randolph Road near Nebel Street at around 7:55 p.m. Monday.

The vehicle that was struck was stalled near the tracks when it was hit by the train. However, the driver had left the scene and there no one was inside the car, fire officials said.

There were no reported injuries, according to authorities.
