An Uber driver has been arrested after authorities said he held down a female passenger and sexually assaulted her in Woodbridge.

Prince William County police said the 22-year-old woman requested a ride from Uber to take her from Manassas to Woodbridge at about 3:15 a.m. on Saturday.

During the ride, the driver, identified by officials as 37-year-old Cristian Zelda Avalo, allegedly pulled over in the Dale City area of Woodbridge, held the victim down in the vehicle and sexually assaulted her.
