Tornado touches down in Fauquier County, Virginia Friday

A tornado touched down in Fauquier County, Virginia on Friday, the National Weather Service confirmed.
The tornado occurred between 6:08 p.m. and 6:10 p.m. Friday evening near Broad Run, according to the National Weather Service.
"Numerous trees were uprooted and large branches snapped along a 1.2-mile long path that paralleled John Marshall Highway just to its south. Some trees fell on power lines and homes," The weather service reported.
The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for Manassas, Manassas Park, and Prince William County. Linton Hall, Bull Run, Haymarket, Manassas, Sudley, Manassas Park and Gainesville are at risk of flooding.
