Suspects try to steal ATM from Capitol Heights gas station (VIDEO)

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. - Prince George's County police released video Wednesday that shows three suspects' failed attempt at stealing an ATM from a gas station in Capitol Heights.

Police say the video was recorded around 3:15 am on Monday at a gas station located in the 5000 block of Marlboro Pike. In it, a van is seen backing up and parking next to the ATM. Two suspects then hop out and put a chain around the ATM machine, while a third suspect tries to use the van-- which police say is stolen-- to attempt to pull the machine up out of the ground.

The suspects tried three times to pull it out, but failed, and then left the scene. Police are searching for them and want to hear from anyone who might recognize them from the video.
