Starbucks begins delivering in DC

Beginning on February 18, Starbucks customers in Washington, D.C. can have their orders delivered to their door.

The coffee company, partnering with Uber Easts, has expanded its delivery service into the District. Delivery service is also available in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Boston, Chicago, and New York.

Starbucks says over 95 percent of its menu is available for delivery and a fee will be applied to orders.

In October of last year, Starbucks opened its first Signing Store in the country in the District. The store near Gallaudet University provides employment opportunities for Deaf and hard of hearing people. All workers there are fluent in American Sign Language.
