ORANGE, Va. - Police in Virginia are investigating after several cars were vandalized with racist graffiti in Orange.
The Town of Orange Police Department says seven cars on West Washington Street were defaced with racist graffiti late Saturday.
The racist graffiti and general defacement were spray-painted on the cars as well as sidewalks, according to detectives.
One car, as photographed by Nicole Terry, has "All ******* must die" written in spray paint, while another car has squiggly lines of the same blue spray paint all over the exterior.
Police say they have not identified a suspect at this time, but are following up on leads.
Investigators say they are consulting with the Commonwealth’s Attorney for prosecution and are treating the incident as a vandalism with a bias based on race, which qualifies as a hate crime.
