2 Prince William County homes hit by bullets

DUMFRIES, Va. (AP) — Two Prince William County homes have been hit by gunfire.

No injuries were reported Sunday, but the gunfire is continuing a trend that began earlier this year and has disturbed local residents.

Investigators say the bullet in one home entered the kitchen window and struck an interior wall.

Police say since January shots have been fired at houses in Woodbridge, Manassas and Dumfries.

Police say at least 18 homes across Prince William County have been hit by gunfire. In some instances the damage has been reported after the fact by homeowners.
