PricewaterhouseCoopers helping employees pay off student loans

- Feeling crushed under the weight of your debt? Maybe you should work for a company like PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The consulting firm just started a program to help its employees pay off their student loan debt. The company will pay $1,200 a year to its employees.

The program targets workers who are recent college graduates.

“Having this program is kind of like the icing on top of a cake -- completing these goals that I’ve had for myself and just now having that help to finish it all off,” said Gabi Gutierrez.

“The program starts effective with our new hiring class right now, and we're excited to have this benefit in addition to all of the other great things we offer to our employee base,” said Terri McClements, Washington Metro Market Managing Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The program takes effect in July.

PricewaterhouseCoopers says it plans to hire about 900 people from the D.C. metro area in the next year.
