Police: Va. couple burglarized more than 20 businesses

MANASSAS, Va. (AP) -- A Manassas couple has been charged with committing burglaries at more than 20 businesses -- including numerous Asian restaurants -- across northern Virginia.

Prince William County police announced Tuesday that 24-year-old Lea Marie Culbreath and 25-year-old Kai Lansana, who live together, have been arrested and accused of committing the burglaries from August to October.

Police spokesman Nathan Probus says the suspects will also face charges in Fairfax, Loudoun, Stafford and Frederick counties and the cities of Leesburg, Manassas and Fredericksburg.

Authorities say the couple broke into businesses overnight, sometimes smashing windows to get inside and then taking cash, cellphones and a laptop.

It's unclear whether either of the suspects has an attorney.
