Police: Man stabbed outside Northern Virginia 7-Eleven

A Prince William County man was attacked and stabbed after being confronted for his shoes at a Woodbridge 7-Eleven, police say.

The incident happened just around 8 p.m. on Friday, at the 7-Eleven at 3990 Jefferson Davis Hwy, according to Prince William County police.

Investigators say the victim, a 25-year-old man, was inside the store when he was approached by two men.

Police say the suspects confronted the man over his shoes and demanded he hand them over to them, but the man refused. They say the suspects then left the store, and the man purchased his items.

But when the man went to leave, authorities say one of the suspects came at him and stabbed him in his lower body with an edged object.

Police say the suspect then attempted to stab the victim a second time, before both suspects got into a black sedan car and fled.

Investigators say the car is possibly a Toyota or Honda. They also say the suspects yelled gang affiliations during the altercation.

Police say both suspects are men in their late teens or early 20's. One is about six feet tall, and the other five-foot-ten-inches.

Detectives say the man who was stabbed was able to get into his own car where he drove to his house nearby and called police.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Authorities are still continuing their investigation.
