Police: Man sexually assaulted woman handing out brochures in Takoma Park

TAKOMA PARK, Md. - Police are searching for a man they say sexually assaulted a woman who was handing out brochures in Takoma Park.

Officers say the incident happened Saturday afternoon on Carroll Avenue near Sligo Creek Parkway.

The woman told police that she was handing out brochures when a man grabbed her and made sexual advances toward her. She told officers that she was able to fight him off and run away.

The suspect is described by police as a black male, 5-feet-9-inches tall with a thin build and short, black hair. He was last seen wearing tennis shoes, a red shirt and white ear buds.
