WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) — A murder investigation is underway in the District after a man was shot Wednesday afternoon in Southeast Washington.
Police say the shooting happened inside New Creations salon in the 2100 block of Martin Luther King Avenue, SE, at around 3:38 p.m.
A viewer who wanted to remain anonymous told FOX 5 the shooting happened at a hair salon in the area.

A witness told FOX 5 there were four employees inside the salon and about five customers when a group of guys came in fighting and one of them opened fire on another.
The victim's mother came to the scene and spoke with officer's following the shooting.
FOX 5 has been told her son was in his 20's and was pronounced dead inside of the salon.
