BRANDYWINE, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Police in Prince George’s County are investigating a crash that left a 29-year-old man dead Tuesday night in Brandywine.
At 9:55 p.m. on March 26, police say they were called to the scene of a two-car collision at Brandywine and Gibbons Church roads. Garfield Manning, the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the second driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation reveals Manning was driving southbound on Brandywine Rd. when he lost control of his car and struck another vehicle after entering the northbound lanes.
Investigators say Manning had also been involved in a minor collision in a parking lot in the 700 block of Matapeake Business Drive minutes before the fatal crash on Brandywine Rd.
Investigators say they are looking into whether or not the two crashes are related.
